Ron Bridges
State Director, AARP Kentucky
As AARP’s State Director in the Kentucky, Ron Bridges is primarily responsible for serving nearly a half million AARP members in the Commonwealth by providing strategic leadership focused on accelerating innovation, scaling social impact programs and services, deepening connections and improving livability in local communities. With Ron’s leadership, AARP focuses on empowering Kentuckians to choose how they live as they age.
Ron draws on over thirty years of success in various governmental affairs, community relations and association management positions. Before his selection to lead AARP Kentucky, Ron was Director of Government Affairs for AARP in Ohio. While a vice president with the Health Coalition of Central Ohio, he led strategic health system planning and analysis of health sector capital projects proposed for Ohio’s Scioto Valley Region.
Ron received a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and a Master’s in public policy from The Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs. He is a graduate of Leadership Kentucky and currently serves on the board of the United Way of Kentucky.
