Senior director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at GLI featured in Business First

Since she joined GLI in early 2021, Dana Johnson, GLI’s Senior Director of DE&I, has overseen the rollout of the organization’s Racial Equity Pledge, which challenges the region’s business community to build a more inclusive economy based on equal opportunity and addressing the damage caused by systemic racism.

More than 200 local businesses have signed the pledge so far, and GLI has also developed an Equity Vested Inclusion Index to help businesses live up to their commitment.

In December, Johnson watched as the first cohort graduated from GLI’s inaugural Power to Prosper Minority Business Accelerator. The program took 12 minority business owners through 12 intensive sessions across four modules that covered high-level business skills and provided them with curriculum to take their business to the next level.
