The Greater Louisville Medical Society Foundation is again donating care packages to local physician practices containing crucial personal protective equipment (PPE). Physicians will be picking up their care packages on Tuesday, Dec. 15 from *8:00m a.m. to 2:00 pm off of the rear loading dock at GLMS headquarters downtown.

Over 100 physician practices will be provided with urgently needed PPE including 50,000 surgical masks, 320,000 antibacterial wipes, 1,000 face shields, 20,000 exam gloves and over 450 liters of hand sanitizer.

Each individual care package includes the following brand-new items:

  • 5 or 6 bottles of hand sanitizer (750ml-sized bottles)
  • 50 surgical masks
  • 4 containers of antibacterial wipes
  • 11 face shields
  • 2 boxes of exam gloves

All hand sanitizer was donated by local distilleries and the remaining items were purchased at a discount with funds donated through the GLMS Foundation’s ongoing PPE drive.

Anyone in the community is encouraged to make donations toward this ongoing relief drive. Monetary donations can be made here: https://glms.org/ppedonations/. The GLMS Foundation is matching every dollar donated toward this ongoing drive. New (unopened), non-expired PPE items may also be donated. A full list of items in need can be found here. Future distribution days will continue to be announced.
