Health Enterprises Network

Description

The Louisville Healthcare Fellows is an executive education experience based on Louisville's health-related economy, which allows health-related executives the opportunity to connect with one another and refine their health-related business acumen.  Through the use of experiential learning methods, compelling discussions and one-on-one conversations with top business leaders. participants are challenged to push themselves 'outside of their comfort zone' while sharing their personal experiences, expertise and perspective with their fellow participants.

Structure

The core of the program is comprised of ten monthly sessions approximately two hours in length.  In addition to monthly sessions, participants will engage in a group project, with additional meetings outside of the scheduled session times.  Projects, sessions and social events are geared to connect participants with each other and our area's most influential leaders and innovators across many sectors of our diverse regional health industry.  Sessions are comprised of experiential learning activities, in depth discussion with presenters, and challenging de-brief sessions with fellow participants.

History

The Louisville Healthcare Fellows program was formed by the leaders of the Health Enterprises Network in 2005 in response to Louisville's need for executive talent as defined in the "Beyond Merger" report from the Brookings Institute.  Since its inception, the fellowship structure has produced motivated, informed and connected individuals ready to take on the challenges and opportunities in our community, nationally and abroad.  There are over 150 alumni currently working, living and learning through their continued participation with Health Enterprises Network.
