Bill Woodson of Sg2 talks on Evolution of Payment Models

The Health Enterprises Network, in partnership with Hall Render Killian Heath & Lyman, hosted Evolution of Payment Models with Bill Woodson of Sg2.

Recent legislation, pilot programs and updates to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services payment schedule provide insight into the future inpatient and outpatient payment trends. Emerging payment models will fundamentally change the ways in which hospital and physicians are paid for services - with the goals of reducing costs, improving quality and creating accountability through shifting more risk from the payer to the provider.  Regardless of which payment model prevails, organizations must act now to elevate their quality of care while reducing costs. This presentation, presented by Sg2, provided a high-level overview of recent pilot programs and proposed payment models, including bundled payments, the medical home, accountable care organizations and health insurance exchanges.

The event’s presenter, Bill Woodson, is a senior vice president and national thought leader for Sg2. He co-leads Sg2's Center for Strategic Planning, focusing on developments in health care strategy and growth. He and his team develop advanced analytics, publications, courses and conferences for more than 1,200 organizations across the health care industry.
